Quantum Law Group Founding Partners Jonathan Deer and Peyman Cohan Named 2026 Legal Visionaries

Business by LA Times Studios recognizes both attorneys among Southern California’s leading consumer attorneys for their legal accomplishments, leadership, and contributions to the profession.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, October 2026 – Quantum Law Group LLP is pleased to announce that founding partners Jonathan Deer and Peyman Cohan have been selected as 2026 Consumer Attorney Visionaries by Business by LA Times Studios. Both attorneys are featured in the publication’s October 2026 edition, which recognizes Southern California plaintiff attorneys for their litigation achievements, professional leadership, and commitment to advancing the legal profession.

The recognition reflects the extensive experience Deer and Cohan bring to Quantum Law Group’s representation of individuals, families, and businesses in complex litigation, insurance disputes, and matters involving substantial financial interests.

Jonathan Deer: Experienced Trial Advocacy in Complex Litigation

With more than 30 years of trial experience, Deer represents clients in complex personal injury, catastrophic loss, insurance, and commercial disputes. His practice frequently involves litigation against major corporations, financial institutions, and insurance companies.

Among his significant achievements, Deer secured a jury verdict exceeding $5 million for a seriously injured client in a case involving intentional misconduct. His experience also includes pursuing claims against life insurers and brokers involving problematic premium financing arrangements, as well as representing a family-owned hotel portfolio in a substantial commercial loan dispute involving more than $35 million.

Deer was previously recognized by the Daily Journal as a 2025 Top Plaintiff Lawyer. He also contributes to the legal profession through continuing legal education programs addressing complex legal and financial issues.

Peyman Cohan: Sophisticated Financial and Insurance Litigation Experience

Cohan brings more than two decades of experience advising executives, business owners, and families on estate planning, business succession, insurance arrangements, and sophisticated financial transactions.

His understanding of complex insurance and financial products contributes to Quantum’s work representing clients harmed by disputed life insurance arrangements and premium financing transactions. The firm’s experience includes litigation involving allegations of misrepresented insurance products, substantial financial losses, and insurers’ refusal to honor contractual benefits.

Cohan was also selected for the 2027 edition of The Best Lawyers in America for Trusts and Estates, marking his second consecutive year of recognition.

Continued Growth and Commitment to Clients

The recognition of Deer and Cohan comes during a period of continued growth for Quantum Law Group, including the significant expansion of its personal injury practice with the addition of veteran trial attorney Larry Nagelberg and continued work involving complex business litigation, insurance disputes, and high-stakes financial matters.

The firm’s attorneys combine extensive litigation experience with a sophisticated understanding of the business and financial considerations that often drive legal disputes.

The annual Consumer Attorney Visionaries feature recognizes attorneys whose professional accomplishments, results, and leadership have contributed to the legal community throughout Southern California.
