Quantum Law Group recently achieved a favorable resolution for the family of an elderly woman who suffered serious neglect while residing in a skilled nursing facility.

The family had repeatedly raised concerns with the facility about the woman’s condition, including signs of dehydration, a significant skin tear and severe pressure injuries. The facility also failed to follow physician instructions and adequately monitor her care despite repeated concerns from family members who visited regularly.

Quantum filed suit on the family’s behalf and developed the case around a pattern of conduct that went well beyond an isolated mistake. The firm prepared the matter through extensive litigation and completed trial preparation for a scheduled nine-day trial.

The case resolved shortly before trial, sparing the family the additional burden of testifying and reliving a difficult experience in court.
