Larry Nagelberg is a nationally recognized personal injury attorney with more than 46 years of experience representing accident victims and their families against the insurance industry, corporate defendants, and government entities. He brings to Quantum Law Group a career distinguished by high-stakes jury trials, landmark verdicts, and an unwavering commitment to clients navigating some of the most difficult circumstances of their lives.
Larry has handled virtually every category of personal injury case — car, motorcycle, truck, bus, and train accidents; catastrophic and spinal cord injuries; wrongful death; product liability; premises liability; medical malpractice; and nursing home abuse. His cases have spanned California and the United States, and over the course of his career he and his co-counsel have recovered more than $1 billion for injured clients.
Notable results include a $27 million jury verdict against the City of San Francisco arising from a fatal bus accident, a $25 million jury verdict in a motorcycle accident case in which Larry’s team exposed the at-fault driver’s false account to the CHP using GoPro video evidence and successfully opened up bad faith liability against two insurers who refused to pay policy limits, and a $21 million settlement on behalf of a Metrolink train passenger who suffered catastrophic injuries when the train buckled on impact, a case that required identifying eight defendants, including major component manufacturers, over eight years of litigation.
Larry’s approach to personal injury law is grounded in curiosity, creativity, and meticulous preparation. He approaches each case the way an investigator approaches a complex puzzle, following every lead, identifying every responsible party, and building a narrative that connects with juries. He is an active member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, and the Association for Trial Lawyers of America.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Larry attended Florida International University before earning his Juris Doctor from Whittier College School of Law in 1979. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1980 and to the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in 1981.
